Our Beginning in Daniel Island
When we relocated to Daniel Island from Connecticut in 2018, we couldn’t believe how fortunate we were to find this town. It checked every box for us and we immediately knew this was home.
Like many busy families, we found preparing home-cooked meals every night to be challenging.
It became apparent many other DI families were looking for the same thing - elevated fare that included a variety of sandwiches and salads, prepared foods, organic grocery and last-minute options for entertaining.
Building the Concept
We spent over two years developing our concept, designing the space, and securing a fantastic executive chef and staff. We gave the market a warm, local hometown feel and named it "Buck's" so our customers would know it’s owned by a local family who truly cares about this community and bringing them “a taste of home!”
A Need for Fresh and Easy Meals
We noticed other families wanted the same thing—fresh food that was simple and convenient. Sandwiches, salads, prepared meals, and grocery items all in one place became the vision for Buck’s Deli & Market.
